Jane Wright Celebration of Life

Jane Ellen (Rohde) Wright, 85, of Raleigh, NC, passed away at Baptist Hospital in New Albany, IN, while surrounded by her family.

Jane was a member of Fairfield Mountain Chapel, Lake Lure, NC where she served as a choir member for many years.

Mrs. Wright graduated from Marion County Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN and had a full career in multiple areas of nursing.

Jane loved spending time with family, playing cards, cooking, being on the boat in Lake Lure and playing golf at Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure, where she and her husband lived for over 30 years.

Born July 25, 1936 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of Raymond & Lillian (Schmock) Rohde, both whom preceded her in death. On December 21, 1957, in Peoria, IL, she married Jerry Ross Wright, he preceded her in death, as well. She also had a sister, Carolyn “AC” Rohde, that also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Mark & Kayte (Quinn) Wright, Kelly & Kevin McFarland, Whitney & Scott Kissel, Mike & Lana (Parks) Wright, grandchildren: Ross & Jennifer (Coyle) Wright, Libby & Mervyn Saldanha, Zak & Jennifer (Nishida) Wright, Ian & Jessica (Turbyfill), Austin and Parker Wright and great-grandchildren: Asher, Selah and Kepler Wright, Chloe and Emma McFarland, sisters-in-law Alma (Brewer) (Wright) Findley and Mona (Wright) Smith and nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be September 11, 2022 at 4:00pm (est) at Fairfield Mountain Chapel 1384 Buffalo Creek Rd, Lake Lure, NC 28746 with nephew Reverend Dr, Wesley Wright and Kevin Anderson officiating with a Celebration of Life following at Rumbling Bald Resort Terrace, 112 Mountains Blvd, Lake Lure, NC 28746
