Women of the Church. The WOC, Women of the Church is a service oriented extension of the Chapel and has several missions to which it contributes. To raise funds for these missions each year the WOC puts on two fundraisers. The first is a fashion show and luncheon in the spring and the second is a tour of homes called the “Christmas Walk”. Another important aspect of the WOC are its Circles. Each member belongs to a Circle and these groups take turns responding to the bereaved families in the church. The Circles do so by providing a meal for the bereaved families as well as organizing and hosting a memorial service reception at the Chapel. The WOC offers other opportunities to be involved in ministry such as the Nursing Home ministry. Each year the WOC over sees the filling of the Chapel with Christmas Poinsettias and Easter Lillies so members can honor or remember loved ones. Various other activities take place throughout the year. The WOC meets at NOON on the third Monday of each month at the Chapel. It is a great opportunity to meet other women in our church and community. We have a catered lunch with a speaker or project and some times have an outing.
